Rashford in fallout with Ten Hag after late night partying before FA Cup clash

Marcus Rashford’s future at Manchester United hangs in the balance after series of incidents that have raised concerns about his off-field behaviour.

The forward recently had talks with Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag following a missed training session where he claimed being ill.

It was later discovered that the illness coincide with a late-night party he attended in the night before.

Rashford’s agent and brother, Dwaine Maynard, was also present during the discussions at Carrington, where it was suggested that the player could face a fine of two weeks’ wages, amounting to around £650,000.

Manchester United issued a statement acknowledging Rashford’s responsibility for his actions and stated that the matter had been dealt with internally.

However, this is not the first time Rashford has found himself in trouble this season.

In October, he was warned by Ten Hag after celebrating his birthday in Manchester’s China White following a heavy defeat to local rivals Manchester City.

Last season also, Rashford was benched for a match against Wolves after arriving late for a team meeting, although he later scored the winning goal after coming on as a substitute.

Ten Hag, known for his strict disciplinary approach, had initially accepted Rashford’s explanation for missing training but later discovered that the player had been out until the early hours before returning to Manchester on a private jet.

Recall the manager has a history of dealing firmly with disciplinary issues, having previously exiled Jadon Sancho for a social media post and ended Cristiano Ronaldo’s second spell at the club prematurely due to perceived disruptive behavior.
