FA Cup Round 5: Manchester United, City face another away game

The draw for the fifth round of the 2023/24 FA Cup has Manchester United facing another away game against either Bristol City or Nottingham Forest.

The current holders of the title Manchester City will travel to Luton Town following their 1-0 win against Tottenham, while Liverpool will host either Watford or Southampton in the next round.

Other notable matchups include Brighton visiting Wolves, and Bournemouth taking on Leicester City at the Vitality Stadium.

Five of the eight fixtures in the fifth round are yet to be confirmed, pending the results of fourth-round replays.

For Manchester United, this will be their third consecutive away game in this season’s FA Cup, a stark contrast to their run last season when they reached Wembley after four straight home matches in the competition.

The full draw for the 2023/24 FA Cup Round 5 is as follows:

  • Blackburn Rovers or Wrexham vs Newcastle United
  • Chelsea or Aston Villa vs Leeds United or Plymouth Argyle
  • Bournemouth vs Leicester City
  • Liverpool vs Watford or Southampton
  • Bristol City or Nottingham Forest vs Manchester United
  • Wolverhampton Wanderers vs Brighton & Hove Albion
  • Sheffield Wednesday or Coventry City vs Maidstone United
