Nse Ikpe-Etim reacts after losing AMVCA award to Osas Ighodaro

Famous Nollywood actress, Nse Ikpe-Etim stirs reactions following her response to losing the AMVCA award for Best Actress to Osas Ighodaro.

This comes following the 2023 Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA) event on Saturday night that celebrated talents across the movie Industry.

Nse Ikpe-Etim was nominated for her remarkable performance in the Netflix Original series “Shanty Town.”

She was nominated alongside her co-star in “Shanty Town,” Ini Edo, as well as Enado Odigie (“Flawsome”), Immaculata Oko Kasum (“Ile Owo”), Ini Dima-Okojie (“Flawsome”), Queen Nwokoye (“Strained”), Scarlet Gomez (“Wura”), and Nimo Loveline (“The Planters Plantation”).

Bimbo Ademoye was considered a strong contender for the category, thanks to her leading role in “Anikulapo.” However, it was Osas Ighodaro who ultimately won the award for her performance in “Man of God,” another Netflix project.

Shortly after Osas delivered her acceptance speech on the grand stage, Nse Ikpe-Etim tweeted a single laughing emoji, which sparked the kind of reaction one would anticipate in an online setting.
