No timeframe, I got it wrong last time – Arteta reacts to Gabriel Jesus injury

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has denied knowledge of when his forward, Gabriel Jesus will be back from his hamstring injury.

The Brazilian international suffered the injury during Arsenal’s 2-1 victory over Sevilla in the UEFA Champions League.

Gabriel Jesus was taken off in the match after two pieces of individual brilliance saw him provide an assist for Gabriel Martinelli to score the opening goal before he doubled the Gunners’ advantage after the break.

In a post by Fabrizio Romano on X, Arteta expressed his concern over Jesus’ injury and has stated that he is not going to put any timeframe for his return because he did it once and got it totally wrong.

“I’m honestly not going to put any timeframe for Gabriel Jesus injury because I did it once and got it totally wrong.

“We need to be cautious because we need to treat it in the right way. He’s already pushing everybody and wants to be back as quickly as possible,” he added.

Jesus is expected to miss several games for Arsenal, as the extent of his injury remains unclear.

This won’t be the first time the player is suffering injury spell, he has struggled with a number of fitness problems during his time at the Emirates Stadium.
