“Never” – Mauricio Pochettino vows not to quit as Chelsea manager

Mauricio Pochettino has vowed he won’t quit as Chelsea manager, despite facing criticism over the team’s performance.

The Argentine manager maintains that the criticism directed at his young team is “completely unfair.”

When asked if he would consider walking away, he replied: “No. Why? Never.”

Under Pochettino, Chelsea have struggled to reach the levels achieved under previous owner Roman Abramovich.

During Abramovich’s era, the Blues won five Premier League titles and two Champions League trophies, among other titles.

But currently, the team sit 11th place in the Premier League table, with a second consecutive season without European competition looming.

However, Pochettino has come out to defend his players, who have also faced criticism from fans and pundits alike.

He emphasized the need for support and understanding as the team continues to develop.

“Today it is a different Chelsea. If you are going to judge us, comparing the past of Chelsea, for sure no one is going to win. No one is going to succeed. No one is going to be nice with you.

“The fans are not going to love any more another coach at Chelsea. If you compare with the past, when you are in a different project, people need to understand.

“I’ve tried to explain. I talk, I move my mouth, but you don’t hear.

“I knew it was going to be tough. I knew we were going to need time and belief. The project is about young players, building a new team.”

Chelsea’s squad is one of the youngest in the league, following an overhaul decision to rebuild with less experienced but talented players last summer.

Despite the pressure, Pochettino maintains his commitment to his players, while stating his admiration for such challenges and the belief that things will turn around.
