The netizen identified by his handle as @Letter_to_Jack disclosed that the man went to the neighbourhood to get his wife and daughter, but while driving down the slope, his brakes failed and he ran into a woman in her shop.

People around the premises didn’t hesitate to unleash brutality on him despite how popular he’s in the area.

Narrating the incident, he wrote:

“A young man lost his mother last Friday. On Monday, he went to his neighborhood to get his wife and daughter.

He drove up a slope and on his way down, his brake failed, the car then ran into a woman in her shop.

Angry mob arrived and they beat him so badly that he lost an eye.

This guy and his late mom grew up in the neighborhood, he is well known, but that didn’t stop the people at Sabo’s Jungle Justice because someone said the woman had died.

They broke his car windshield, dragged his wife on the floor and threatened to kill him.

They didn’t care for the woman who was injured, they left her on the floor right there as the others attacked the driver. They hit him countless times in the head and on the left eye with planks that blood began to gush out of the eye.

If not for timely police intervention, he would have been extrajudicially killed at the spot. They got him and his wife to safety, but he was detained, even as he was in a very bad condition.

His daughter (2-4years old) was right there as the mob descended on her parents.

As soon as I got the call, I went to the police station to see the guy and from there to the hospital to check the woman’s condition.

The doctor told me the woman is alive and stable, she suffered a deep wound but there was no fracture.

I have more to say on this, but I wont add more until after my meeting with the community leaders this morning.”
