Man poisons 143 bags of garden eggs in Enugu

A man has been arrested by the Police in Enugu after he allegedly poisoned 143 bags of garden eggs meant for human consumption.

Following the report made at Central Police Station, Enugu, Enugu State on 08/04/2020, the police were deployed to arrest the man identified as Okonkwo Sunday, 52.

Sunday was alleged to have emptied a can of a suspected toxic liquid substance on about 143 bags of garden eggs worth N729, 000.00 at Akwata sub-market of the Ogbete Main Market.

Investigation to ascertain the real motive(s) of the suspect as well as apprehend and prosecute his accomplices to the crime is ongoing at the State Criminal Investigation Department
