Livinus Nwosu alleges he was threatened after his release from DSS Detention

Activist Livinus Nwosu has spoken publicly following his reported release from detention, alleging that he received a warning while in custody.

Recall that Verydarkman had taken to social media yesterday to raise alarm after the activist was picked up by armed men allegedly over PVC sensitisation.

According to Nwosu, he was approached by a woman at the DSS office who allegedly told him that if he were detained again, he could disappear and that continuing his public awareness campaigns and advocacy efforts could have serious consequences.

The activist, who recently drew attention for his voter sensitisation activities and civic awareness campaigns, said the alleged warning was linked to his efforts to educate citizens about governance, voter participation, and national issues.

He said in part …

“I met a woman at the DSS office and she told me that if they pick me again, i will disapp£ar, that if I continue evangelising and showing the public about what is happening…. that it will not be easy for me the next time…”
