Ligue 1: Jonathan David rescues stoppage time equalizer for Lille, after Mbappe’s opener

Lille secured a point against Ligue 1 leaders PSG, thanks to Jonathan David’s stoppage-time equalizer that canceled Kylian Mbappe’s opener.

Despite promising opportunities in the first half for both teams, neither side managed to break the deadlock.

However, PSG gradually increased pressure after halftime, taking the lead in the 63rd minute as Diakité’s challenge on Lucas Hernandez resulted in a penalty.

Kylian Mbappé confidently converted from the spot, to mark his 50th goal of the calendar year, a tally which has also been reached by Harry Kane and Cristiano Ronaldo.
