“I’m now ready for sexual case against Akpabio” – Natasha declares

Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan (PDP, Kogi Central) says she is fully ready to prove her sexual harassment allegations against the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, in court.

Natasha said Akpabio’s ₦200 billion defamation suit has finally given her the opportunity she was denied by the Senate Ethics and Privileges Committee, an opportunity to present her evidence before a competent court.

In a statement, the Kogi Central lawmaker said the court case now provides the platform she has long awaited to establish her claims.

She insists she will show that she was sexually harassed, and that her refusal to give in to the alleged advances led to sustained political attacks targeted at her career and reputation.

“See you in court, Godswill Akpabio,” she declared.

The Senate President had earlier filed a ₦200 billion lawsuit against Senator Natasha, accusing her of publishing damaging allegations that portrayed him as a sexual predator.

Court documents from the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory show Akpabio is demanding massive damages, public retractions, and nationwide broadcast apologies, saying her statements subjected him to public ridicule.

The suit, backed by a detailed Statement of Claim and a list of witnesses, alleges that Natasha’s interviews on radio, television, and across digital platforms painted him as someone who abused his position for personal gain.

The legal battle between the two lawmakers is now set for the courtroom, where both sides say they are ready to defend their stories before the Nigerian public and the law.
