“I’ll be back in 2037” – Abroad-based Nigerian woman vows not to return home, gives reason
An abroad-based Nigerian woman has stirred reactions online after vowing not to return home until 2037 while showing off the lifestyle she is enjoying abroad.
In a video shared on X (formerly Twitter), the woman pointed out that it was already 9pm, yet the environment remained bright. She was also seen licking an ice lolly as she marvelled at the experience.

She jokingly declared that she had no plans to return to Nigeria anytime soon, questioning why anyone enjoying such a lifestyle would want to come back home.
In her words, she said:
“This is 9pm, you can see how bright everywhere is, and I’m also licking ice lolly. Me ke? I’m never going to come back to Nigeria again.
Someone will be living this kind of life and you expect them to come back? Never. I’ll be back in the year 2037. My people, please, I’m sorry; we’ll meet again in the year 2037.”
The woman’s declaration has attracted attention online, with social media users amused by her decision to postpone her return home for more than a decade.
