She alleged that when he arrived, he transferred ₦500 to the account of a roadside trader so he could receive cash to pay the motorcycle rider.

“My younger brother was killed on Saturday, the 8th of August 2026. My brother was stabbed in the neck, just because of ₦100.

He was supposed to pay the bike guy, so because he wasn’t having cash, he transferred ₦500 into the trader’s account to give him cash. The aboki man said he was going to remove charges of ₦100 from the ₦500 my brother transferred,” she said.

She further claimed that her brother objected to the deduction, after which the trader allegedly attacked him with a pair of scissors, stabbing him in the neck.

The woman said her brother was rushed to hospitals but was rejected by several facilities before he eventually bled to death. She described him as a promising 21-year-old who had recently received his WAEC result with excellent grades.

“Two days before his death, he sent me his WAEC result in which he passed all his papers with As. I never believed that was the last message my brother would send to us before he died. Nigeria happened to us, but please, I want justice for my brother,” she added.

The grieving sister appealed to the authorities and members of the public to help ensure that her brother’s death does not go without justice.
