“I give him money whenever he asks but he has never spent on me” – Nigerian lady seeks advice about her boyfriend

A Nigerian lady named Favour has taken to social media to seek advice and share her concerns about her year-long relationship with her boyfriend.

In a heartfelt Facebook post, Favour expressed her distress over her boyfriend’s apparent lack of effort in their relationship, particularly when it comes to gift-giving and financial support.

According to Favour’s post, her boyfriend has never given her gifts or contributed financially throughout the duration of their one-year relationship.

Favour candidly shared that whenever she has asked her boyfriend for assistance or presents, he has consistently claimed to lack the resources to fulfill her requests.

Favour further revealed that despite her willingness to provide him with financial help whenever he asks for it, her own requests are met with skepticism and doubt.

In an attempt to level the playing field, Favour admitted that she has recently begun responding similarly to her boyfriend’s requests for money by claiming she is unable to assist.

However, this tactic has only led to her boyfriend suspecting her intentions and questioning her commitment to the relationship.

One significant incident that Favour highlighted in her post was her recent birthday. Despite downplaying the significance of her boyfriend’s oversight, Favour confessed that his failure to wish her on her special day had left her feeling hurt and overlooked.

In her words;

“Hello I want to ask a question pls Am dating a guy from a year now he has never spend on me or got a gift or or anything When ever I ask him for something he says he does not have then I will not ask him again Bit once he ask me for some money I will give him but the nxt Time he ask I would tell him I don’t have any, but he would not belive me, thinking I did not want to give him, the day of my birthday He did not wish me, but to me I see it as nothing, pls I want to ask is dis hw relationship rel need ur advice.”
