“I don’t want egos” – Erik ten Hag warns Man United stars ahead of next football season

The atmosphere at Manchester United may change a bit different from what it used to be with the presence of its new manager, Erik ten Hag.

Ahead of the next football season, the former Ajax boss, who appears strict warned the players that he will not tolerate egos in the dressing room.

According to The Sun, Erik ten Hag, who took over ftom Ralf Rangnick has already laid out his demands in a stern email to the playing squad as he warned that he will not tolerate lack of effort or disloyalty.

A source told The Sun that the the Dutchman “sent the first-team players an email, telling them that football is a team game and no individual is more important than any other.

“His emphasis is all on the team — despite United possessing world class stars.

“He wants the players to train at a higher intensity so that each session is like a game.”

The 52-year-old has been tasked with lifting the Red Devils from their recent struggles and getting them back on track after finishing the 2021-22 season without a trophy.

To this end, having finished sixth in the Premier League last season, Manchester United will be entering the season with great expectation.
