“I carried her”- BBNaija star, Chizzy speaks amid Ilebaye’s controversy with her father

Former Big Brother Naija housemate, Chizzy Francis, has reacted to recent comments made by the father of former BBNaija winner Ilebaye regarding her success on the reality show.

Recall that Ilebaye’s father had claimed he contributed massively to her victory during the show while addressing an assault-related call-out involving his daughter, stating that he played a major role in mobilising support and votes for her.

Reacting to the statement, Chizzy took to his X page to disagree with the claim and insisted that he strongly campaigned for Ilebaye throughout her time in the house.

The reality star also revealed that despite the effort he allegedly put into supporting her, Ilebaye later blocked and unfollowed him after the show ended.

“Ilebaye’s dad lied when he said he contributed 75% to Ilebaye’s win. I literally carried that girl on my shoulders, campaigning for her like my life depended on it. And ask me how she paid me back? She blocked and unfollowed me. Not just me, she unfollowed about 75% of the housemates too.”

“But regardless of everything, I will never support evil or stay silent when something wrong is done. What her father did was completely wrong,” he said.

His statement has since generated reactions online, with fans divided over the issue. While some supported Chizzy’s claims, others defended Ilebaye and her father amid the ongoing controversy.
