“He ate in front of me, then walked away”– Lady reveals boyfriend’s three-month ‘wifey test’

A lady has narrated how what began as a normal visit to her boyfriend’s house ended in an unexpected breakup after she discovered she was allegedly being “tested” for marriage suitability.

What happened during the visit

The incident, which she shared in a viral account, reportedly happened months into their relationship in 2025.

She explained that she had visited him one day, found him washing, greeted him, went inside, watched a movie and eventually fell asleep.

When she woke up, he was already eating. However, things took a turn when she attempted to join him.

The moment things escalated

According to her, the boyfriend refused her food and insisted she should cook her own meal, sparking confusion that quickly escalated into a confrontation about expectations in the relationship.

“I went to get a drink so I could join him, but he carried his food away and told me to go cook mine. I thought he was joking, so I chased him playfully, but he stopped and asked what I had done to deserve food when I chose to sleep instead of helping him wash. I didn’t get angry at first, but his attitude changed. He avoided me for the rest of the visit,” she said.

The ‘test’ revelation and breakup

She added that he later called to explain he had been “testing” her behaviour over time, listing chores she allegedly failed to perform, including cooking and helping with laundry.

“Later, he called and said he had been testing me all along. He listed times I ‘failed’… According to him, I wasn’t behaving like a proper woman. That was when it clicked. I told him I wasn’t there to take over his chores or play house help,” she said.

She ended the relationship shortly after, saying it was for her peace of mind, after which he accused her of disloyalty.
