Griezmann opens up on contracts talks with Atletico, hints at MLS future

Antoine Griezmann has expressed his desire to extend his stay at Atletico Madrid, hinting it could be his last club in European football.

The 32-year-old who returned to the Spanish club two seasons ago, has become a vital player for the team and has emphasized his happiness at the club.

Griezmann’s current contract runs until 2026, but he has hinted at the possibility of discussing a new deal with the club.

“Yes, that’s what I said,” he confirmed to Diario AS. “I know that the club is in favour of being able to make an effort, and we will talk about it.

“Beyond Europe, what I would like later is the MLS, I have always recognized that. But Atletico will be almost one hundred percent my last club in Europe.

“It’s where I want to be, where I see myself happiest, and here I am at home,” the former Barcelona star added.
