Grealish set for Everton medical ahead of loan move

Jack Grealish has agreed to join Everton on a season-long loan from Manchester City, with a medical scheduled for Monday (today).
The 29-year-old’s future at the Etihad had been in doubt after making just seven Premier League starts last season.
City and Everton have reached a deal that will see them subsidise part of his £300,000-a-week wages, removing a major obstacle to the move. There is no option to buy included in the agreement.
Grealish, who joined City from Aston Villa in 2021 for a then British-record £100m, has won three league titles and the 2023 Champions League.
However, his form has dipped, with only three goals in 32 appearances last season. He was also left out of City’s pre-season preparations.
Pep Guardiola acknowledged in June that Grealish needed a fresh start to regain confidence and playing rhythm.
“Jack is an exceptional player,” Guardiola said. “The only reason he didn’t play last season was my decisions. He needs to play every three days and show the quality he has.”
Everton manager David Moyes is keen to integrate Grealish quickly as the club look to strengthen ahead of the new campaign.
