“Gospel music should be free” — Afrobeats musician Zamorra insists

Abdulateef Oluwashina Adekunle, popularly called Zamorra claims that gospel music should be free and the artists should not commercialize their God-given melodies.

He made this bold claim on his Twitter page, @Zamosings, where he has received so much backlash.

According to him, the songs are made from the gospel and it is wrong to monetize songs which are a direct inspiration from the Bible.

Zamorra also reveals that growing up, no hymn composers were paid to attend churches for a price.

His tweet reads;

“COMMERCIALIZING Gospel music is a SCAM!!!! It’s the GOSPEL! it’s to be FREE!!!!
It’s an awkward occupation, lol really, commercializing the good news cos you made dem into melodies? How many hymnal composers were invited to your church to perform Hymns while you were growing up 😂😂😂🐈‍⬛🔊”
