“God will punish cancer” — Blessing CEO reacts as Alex Ekubo dies

Controversial self-acclaimed relationship expert, Blessing CEO, has reacted to the death of Nollywood actor Alex Ekubo, who reportedly died after battling stage 4 liver cancer.
His death has continued to trigger emotional reactions from fans, colleagues, and public figures across the entertainment industry.
Reacting via her Instagram page, Blessing CEO appeared to reference her earlier cancer controversy as she expressed grief over the actor’s passing.
Sharing a photo of the late actor, she wrote: “God will punish cancer. We waited for u to show up. You fought silently. Rest in peace.”

Her reaction has since generated conversations online, especially following the controversy surrounding her own cancer claims earlier this year.
Recall that in March 2026, Blessing CEO publicly appealed for financial assistance for what she described as stage 4 breast cancer chemotherapy treatment.
However, the claim later sparked backlash after the Nigerian Medical Association accused her of allegedly altering another patient’s medical report from Xinus Medical Diagnostics.
The medical document, reportedly signed by consultant pathologist, Dr. O.A. Odigwe, became the subject of public scrutiny after critics questioned its authenticity.
Amid the controversy, social media influencer VeryDarkMan submitted a petition approved by the Inspector-General of Police, requesting an investigation into the matter.
The latest development surrounding Alex Ekubo’s death has further reignited discussions about cancer awareness, public health transparency, and the emotional toll of terminal illnesses.
