“FG telling Nigerians to manage, but look at a minister’s convoy” — Isaac Fayose

Isaac Fayose, a Nigerian political commentator, has criticised the Federal Government (FG) over its appeal to Nigerians to manage amid the country’s economic hardship.

Fayose made the remarks while reacting to a video showing the convoy of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Nyesom Wike, during his visit to Rivers State.

He questioned the size of the minister’s convoy, arguing that the expenses involved appeared inconsistent with calls for Nigerians to endure the current economic hardship.

“The federal government of Nigeria is telling you and I to manage For now because the economy is down But look at their convoy look at the minister’s convoy. Look at the convoy of people that are managing our money.

Look at the convoy they are using. When you can’t manage your money, look at the convoy of people that are managing your money.

Look at, the fuel alone to fuel this convoy a day Look at how many cars they are using ordinary minister in a country where this minister does not have any industry even Dangote the richest man in Africa does not go in this convoy But the minister ordinary minister former governor that never have industry does never have anything.

Look at the way they are living Do they remove your own brain? Are you going to be stupid forever? Are you going to follow suit?”

Fayose’s comments have drawn attention to the contrast between the economic sacrifices being demanded of Nigerians and the level of resources deployed around senior government officials.

The criticism comes amid continued public concerns over the rising cost of living and the financial pressure facing households across the country.
