EPL: Points shared after Mo Salah’s brace in Liverpool’s clash against Brighton

Liverpool faced Brighton in an intense clash that ended 2-2, marking the Reds’ first Premier League match since the VAR controversy.

Jurgen Klopp who celebrated his eighth anniversary as Liverpool’s manager, had no reason to blame VAR this time as they failed to secure a victory.

Brighton’s Lewis Dunk put in the last goal for a well-deserved point for his team. Prior to that, Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah had been the star of the game, scoring twice before halftime.

Ivory Coast midfielder Simon Adringra opened the scoring for Brighton, marking his third start for Brighton this season.

However, Salah quickly responded with a double within six minutes, with his second goal coming from a penalty after a foul on Dominik Szoboszlai.

Liverpool seemed far from their best in the away game, but Brighton, showed their resilience despite dealing with injuries and made six changes to their lineup.

Adingra’s goal in the first half, handed Brighton the lead, but Liverpool managed to equalize just before halftime.

Despite Brighton’s efforts, Liverpool seemed to have secured the win until Dunk’s late goal, assisted by a free-kick from Solly March.

The match ended with some missed opportunities, leaving both teams with a point each.
