Economic Hardship: “Why have you not written Tinubu a letter?” — Dino Melaye questions Obasanjo

The governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in the November 11, 2023 Kogi State election, Senator Dino Melaye has asked if former President Olusegun Obasanjo is doing “Yoruba parapoism” following his silence over recent happenings in the country.

Dino Melaye on his official X handle questioned Obasanjo why he was yet to write a letter to President Bola Tinubu despite the economic hardship and insecurity in the country.

Gistreel reports that during former President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration, Obasanjo wrote letters at different times to Buhari calling on him to address situations affecting the country negatively.

However, since the administration of Bola Tinubu assumed office,  Obasanjo has not written a single letter to the president to address economic hardship, insecurity and other factors affecting the country at the moment.

Dino, in a tweet he shared, asked why Obasanjo is yet to write President Bola Tinubu a letter. According to him, there are compelling reasons to write one now. He tweeted; 

“Is Baba Obasanjo doing yoruba parapoism? He is yet to write Tinubu a letter, and there are compelling reasons to write one now. Baba, write ooooo….we are waiting. Senator Dino Melaye .”
