“Don’t touch her ₦1m” – Pastor Enenche warns men who earn less than their wives

Senior Pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Centre, Pastor Paul Enenche, has stirred fresh conversations online after sharing a strong message on marriage and provision.
In a viral video shared on X (formerly Twitter) by @ChuksEricE, he stated that men should not shift household responsibility to their wives simply because the women earn more.
“If your wife earns ₦1 million and you earn ₦100,000, don’t expect her to use her ₦1 million to take care of the house,” he said.
He explained that a man’s willingness to give, no matter how small the amount carries more value than the size of the money.
“Split your ₦100,000 and give it to her. She will value it more than her own ₦1 million,” he added.
The cleric stressed that leadership in the home is not about income comparison, but about responsibility, sacrifice, and intentional care.
According to him, when a man contributes willingly, it communicates love, effort, and commitment, qualities money alone cannot replace.
While many praised Pastor Enenche for promoting responsibility among men, others argued that marriage should be teamwork, especially in difficult economic times.
One user wrote: “It’s not about the amount, it’s about the mindset.” Another countered: “In this economy, everybody should support the home.”
