6 Clickd Programme Loan Requirements to access phones, laptops and others.

The Federal Government has launched applications for its Credit for Computers, Internet, Connectivity, and Knowledge Digital Devices (C.L.I.C.K.D.) Programme, which would give eligible Nigerians access to smartphones, computers, and tablets via a consumer credit program.

The effort is being carried out by the Nigerian Consumer Credit Corporation (CREDICORP), in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Communications, Innovation, and Digital Economy. It seeks to increase access to digital devices while encouraging the usage of locally manufactured products.

As part of the application phase, applicants must meet the following Clickd programme loan requirements:

Applicants must specify their present state of residency by selecting one of Nigeria’s 36 states or the Federal Capital Territory. This will be used for profiling and program coordination.

2. Employment information must be provided.

Applicants must declare their employment status, which can include salaried employees, freelancers or self-employed individuals, business owners, students, job searchers, or National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members. They can also disclose their monthly salary; however, this is optional.

3. Applicants must be part of an eligible digital skills programme

The current phase is only open to participants in the Federal Government’s Three Million Technical Talent (3MTT) programme. However, other platforms included on the portal include Andela Learning Community, Learn2Earn, ALX, HNG Internship, AltSchool Africa, and Genesys Tech Hub, indicating that they may be included in future phases.

4. Applicants must select a device and state the intended use.

Applicants must choose the type of device they want—a smartphone, laptop, or tablet—and explain how it will be utilized. Learning, professional certification, remote work, freelancing, software development, business expansion, content production, and educational reasons are all viable options.

Applicants must confirm the accuracy of the information submitted and agree to be contacted. They must also provide CREDICORP and its partners permission to check their information for eligibility purposes.

6. Applicants must describe how they learned about the programme.

Applicants must explain how they learned about the program, with possibilities including 3MTT, social media, friends or family, school, employer, Google search, or other sources.
