Nigeria Air Force Recruitment 2026: See Requirements, Application Dates

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has announced its 2026 recruitment drive for competent Nigerians interested in joining the military as Tradesmen/Women and Non-Tradesmen/Women.
The recruitment is part of the Basic Military Training Course (BMTC) 47/2026, with online registration set to begin on September 3 and end on October 14, 2026.

The NAF stated that the application is free of charge and recommended that interested individuals carefully research the prerequisites before applying via its official recruitment portal.
Applicants must be Nigerian citizens by birth, medically, physically, and psychologically fit, with male applicants standing at least 1.66 meters and female candidates standing at 1.63 meters.
Applicants for tradesmen/women must be between the ages of 18 and 27 on March 1, 2027, while non-tradesmen/women must be between the ages of 18 and 22.
Tradesmen/women applicants with ND/NCE qualifications must have at least one lower credit and five relevant credits, including Mathematics and English, earned in no more than two sittings.
Applicants for trades requiring Trade Tests must also produce the corresponding certificate, and drivers must have a valid driver’s license.
Non-tradesmen and women applicants must have completed at least five credits, including Mathematics and English Language, in no more than two sittings, as well as Primary School Certificates and Secondary School Testimonials.
All applicants must have no prior criminal convictions.
The NAF stated that successful applicants will be invited to a Zonal General Aptitude Test, with a date to be announced on the recruitment page. Only successful candidates will be invited to the selection interview.
