Shortly before halftime, Vardy hard a golden opportunity from the penalty spot to further the Foxes lead, but hits the woodwork.

However, the 37-year-old entered the second half with a redemption spirit, and succeeded in the 65th minute, bringing the score to 2-0.

The visitors also pulled one back, to console themselves after several missed opportunities.

Meanwhile, Vardy was clearly on cloud nine after scoring what went on to be the winning goal to seal the Foxes’ return to the top of the Championship table.

Leicester remain favourites to qualify for the Premier League, with 91 points, two points clear of second place Ipswich, while West Brom sit in fifth, seven points clear of dropping out of the play-off places.
