Caicedo, Fernandez deactivate social media accounts following abuse after Liverpool defeat

Chelsea midfielders Moises Caicedo and Enzo Fernandez have deactivated their social media accounts following the team’s 4-1 loss to Liverpool.

The defeat was a one-sided affair, with Liverpool dominating the game and recording an impressive 28 shots against Chelsea.

While several Chelsea players struggled in the match, Caicedo and Fernandez received significant criticism for their performance.

Both players joined Chelsea for substantial fees of £115 million and £105 million, respectively, adding to the scrutiny they faced after the defeat.

The decision to deactivate their social media accounts comes amid speculation that they were subjected to a barrage of online abuse following the match.

Caicedo also faced further criticism after being labeled as Ally McCoist’s “flop of the season,” accoridng to reports by talkSPORT.

Despite the setback against Liverpool, Chelsea will have the opportunity to redeem themselves in the Carabao Cup final against Liverpool later this month.

However, they face a tough task in the Premier League, currently sitting in tenth place and aiming to climb higher in the table under manager Mauricio Pochettino.

Chelsea’s next match against Wolves on Sunday will be crucial as they seek to improve their position in the league standings.
