Blaqbonez mocks colleagues after being hailed as best Nigerian rapper
Ace Nigerian rap artiste, Emeka Akumefule alias Blaqbonez has made jest of his colleagues after being labelled as the best Nigerian rapper by Ghanaian singer Amaarae.
The Ghanaian songster made this known while fielding questions during a Q and A moment online. She told fans to ask her about anything from her career to personal life.
“I got time this morning … what y’all wanna know about the album, about me, about everything. #askamaarae #askfountainbaby,” she tweeted.
One Twitter user known as @nubiatahir asked if she finds Nigerian Hip Hop interesting and if she has any specific Nigerian rapper as her favorite.
“Are you a fan of naija hip hop? and if yes do you have naija rappers i you fw?” the tweep asked.
In response, Amaarae said she admires Psycho YP’s music and reputation and also enjoys Ladipoe’s singing; she praised him for discovering how to successfully blend mainstream music with conscious rap.
She disclosed that Blaqbonez was at the top of her list of rappers because he understands how to write good rap songs that girls also love, which is crucial for succeeding in that genre.
She wrote;
“I love love love psycho yps movement he moves like such a hustler I really respect his music and brand. BLAQBONEZ I think for me is the best Nigerian rap artist he is a fire rapper and knows how to make fire songs that girls can also like which I think is important. Ladipoe has also hacker mixing commercial w conscious I love his voice as well.”
Reacting to what she said, Blaqbonez took to his page to mention names of Ladipoe and Yp and attached a meme to indicate that they’re both pained by her statement.
