“As players we haven’t been performing as well as we can” – Kane on Tuchel’s exit

Bayern Munich forward Harry Kane has partly blamed himself and other players at the club for their recent poor run of form.

Kane revealed this in a post match interview after leading Bayern to their first win in four games against RB Leipzig.

The England star insists that the team haven’t been performing as well as they should, implying that coach Thomas Tuchel wasn’t only responsible for their recent form.

“The club made a decision. We have to show our responsibility to the manager, our responsibility to the club, to give everything we have for the season.

“We knew as players we haven’t been performing as well as we can. We’ve to fight,” Kane added.

Meanwhile, Kane was responsible for Bayern’s win against Leipzig during the Saturday’s Bundesliga clash, bagging a brace.

The win relieved some pressure on Tuchel who faces a challenging season at the club, trailing eight points behind league leaders Bayer Leverkusen.

Tuchel has also reached a concensus with Bayern to step down as the club’s manager by the end of the season.
