A lady has shared the surprising reason a man stopped communicating with her after what she described as a perfect date, leaving many social media users stunned.

According to her, the outing appeared to go well, and the man even dropped her off afterwards. However, he ignored her messages and never reached out again, prompting her to move on with her life.

Although they no longer communicated, the pair continued viewing each other’s WhatsApp status updates.

The unexpected explanation for his silence only surfaced after she posted about the increasing cases of body odour she had noticed.

Recounting the experience, the lady said, “Someone ghosted me once after a very very very perfect date. He just dropped me off, ignored my messages, and never contacted me again. I took it as a L and moved on. We still viewed each other’s WhatsApp status o, but that was it.”

She explained that after seeing her status update, the man asked how he could politely tell someone they had body odour. She advised him to approach the conversation gently by asking whether the person had recently changed their body cream.

The lady further revealed that the man replied, “when we went on that date, did you change your body cream or get a new one recently? you smelled funny o, are you sure they didn’t sell you a fake?”
