A woman has sparked discussion online after calling for DNA paternity tests to be banned, arguing that they are contributing to the breakdown of marriages and homes.
In a viral video shared on X (formerly Twitter), the woman questioned why married men should conduct DNA tests on children born within their marriages if they trust their wives.

‘Any child she brings under your roof is yours’
According to her, men should accept children born during their marriages as their own, regardless of whether their wives may have been unfaithful.
“Men are always cheating, but when a woman cheats and brings in another child, it’s always a problem. It’s always a problem. Whether a woman cheats or not, so far you’re married to her, any child she brings under your roof is automatically yours.”
She argued that there should be no reason for a husband to conduct a DNA test if he trusts his wife.
“There is no need of you conducting a DNA test though. Another question is why are you even getting married to women that you don’t trust? If you must conduct the DNA, that means you don’t trust her. Why are you married to her in the first place?”
‘DNA is destroying homes’
The woman repeatedly called for DNA tests to be banned, saying they were damaging marriages.
“Let them ban DNA. Ban DNA. Ban DNA. DNA is destroying marriages. It’s destroying homes.”
She further argued that marriages could be more peaceful if couples stopped turning to DNA tests whenever doubts about paternity arose.
“Ban DNA and see if marriages do not prevail. And see if marriages do not work.”
She compares modern marriages with the past
The woman also questioned why DNA testing has become increasingly common, saying previous generations did not conduct such tests.
“Every small thing, DNA, DNA. Every small thing, DNA, DNA. Our forefathers did not conduct DNA. Any child that was born under their roof is their child automatically.”
She asked why people were now relying on DNA tests and suggested that some cases of infidelity could be treated as mistakes rather than reasons to destroy a marriage.
“Why is everybody conducting DNA all of a sudden? Why are you going with all of these things? Sometimes the wife just commits a little bit of mistake.”
‘You want to destroy it with your hands’
The woman suggested that a wife who cheats may regret her actions without telling her husband because she fears his reaction.
“She might have just, you know, done this thing mistakenly and she felt remorseful, but she did not tell you about it because she doesn’t know how you’ll react. And she kept it to herself.”
She concluded by questioning why a husband would conduct a DNA test if the aim was to maintain a peaceful marriage.
“And you will now start conducting DNA for what exactly? Peaceful marriage, you want to just destroy it with your hands.”
Her comments have since generated discussion online, with the debate touching on trust, infidelity, paternity and the role of DNA testing in marriage.
