AC Milan hold firm as Chelsea cap Maignan offer at €15m

Chelsea have set a €15 million ceiling in negotiations for AC Milan goalkeeper Mike Maignan, significantly below the Serie A club’s €25 million valuation plus add-ons.
The 29-year-old French international, whose current deal runs until June 2026, is reportedly eager to make the switch to Stamford Bridge.

However, Milan remain resistant, with new head coach Massimiliano Allegri reluctant to part ways with a player viewed as key to the squad.
Maignan, who joined from Lille in 2021 for €16 million, has amassed 163 appearances for the Rossoneri and played a crucial role in their 2021/22 Scudetto triumph.
Talks over a contract extension at San Siro have stalled, further fueling speculation over his future.
While Torino’s Vanja Milinković-Savić has been proposed as a potential replacement, Milan are not expected to greenlight Maignan’s departure unless Chelsea return with a significantly improved bid.
The standoff comes as Milan finalise the €75 million sale of midfielder Tijjani Reijnders to Manchester City, and prepare to welcome veteran Luka Modrić on a free transfer.
