Matchmaker fumes as lady she linked with man blocks him after receiving ₦500k
A Nigerian matchmaker has taken to social media to lament after a lady she matched with a man blocked him despite receiving ₦500,000 and having her house rent paid multiple times.
The incident was shared in a TikTok post where the matchmaker narrated how the lady, identified as Shola, suddenly cut off communication with the man after benefiting financially from him.

According to the matchmaker, she introduced Shola to the man last year, and since then, he had been sending her a weekly allowance of ₦20,000 to ₦30,000.
On several occasions, he reportedly paid her rent and once sent her ₦500,000 to restock her shop.
Despite all this, Shola allegedly blocked the man after receiving the money.
The matchmaker also recalled a time when the man arranged to meet her at a hotel, but she claimed to have taken sleeping pills, leaving him to wait alone.
Calling her out, the matchmaker said: “Shola, I matched you with a man who paid your house rent. When you needed help with your shop, I spoke to him and he sent you ₦500,000. He wanted to visit you, but you said you took sleeping drugs and delayed him in a hotel. You think you’re smart—I’ll show you.”
She added: “Shola, you’re too small to run street on me. I matched you with a man last year — he paid your house rent and gave you ₦10k to ₦20k weekly. On June 4th, he even gave you ₦500k.”
