“You’ve realised now that nobody cares” – Catholic priest tells Harrison Gwamnishu what to do after release

A Catholic priest has written to detained activist Harrison Gwamnishu, telling him he will regain his freedom soon and advising him on what to do afterward.

The priest, Reverend Father Emmanuel Ehioma, popularly known on Facebook as Fada Mentor, posted a long note where he encouraged Harrison, reflected on his struggles, and warned him about the people who have benefited from his rescue efforts without offering support in return.

Priest Says Harrison’s Ordeal Will Strengthen Him

Father Emmanuel expressed sympathy for the activist, saying the tough period he is facing is part of life’s refining process.

He urged Harrison to stay calm and see the hardship as something that will build him into a stronger and better person.

Advises Him to Quit Risky Rescue Missions or Monetise Them

In his message, the priest noted that the risky rescue operations Harrison often carries out do not come with adequate appreciation or protection.

He advised that if Harrison chooses to continue after his release, then he must start charging families for every move he makes, including the efforts of the police and soldiers who accompany him.

Warns That People Don’t Truly Care

Father Emmanuel pointed out that Harrison’s current challenges should serve as a clear reminder that many people he has helped do not genuinely care about him.

He said people are quick to use heroes when it benefits them but abandon them when things go wrong.

Priest Thanks Harrison Despite Past Criticism

Although he admitted to calling Harrison out in the past, Father Emmanuel appreciated him for giving hope to many families through his rescue missions.

He also prayed that the same hope Harrison brought to others would return to him during this difficult moment.

In his words: “Harrison Gwamnishu brother, I know you are having it rough now courtesy of your past and of course unfortunately that’s what life is all about.

“Calm down and take it all in, this suffering is meant to purify you and make you a better person.

“When you come out, because I know you will surely come out, just quit this risk you are taking for ‘world people’ it doesn’t worth it.

“But if you MUST continue, then you MUST monetize ‘your every move’ and those Police officers and soldiers that you move with.

“As they are raising money for their kidnapped loved ones, they should also raise funds to pay you and your team even before you leave the comfort of your home.

“You have realized now that nobody send your papa, they don’t even care about you.

“They are ready to run you to the ground, even while the remaining victim is going through hell because you were initially their target.

“You aren’t my friend, we never see one on one before, and in fact I don call you out before when you messed up in the past but that doesn’t stop me from saying THANK YOU for giving people HOPE.

“I pray this same HOPE be returned to you at this trying time.

“Stay blessed.

“Happy Sunday.”
