“You think I’m desperate because am no longer married” – Queen Mercy blasts ex after resurfacing with Valentine’s message

Reality star, Queen Mercy Atang has sparked massive reactions on social media after publicly dragging her ex who allegedly resurfaced on Valentine’s Day.
In a lengthy post shared on her Instagram page, she revealed that the same man who spread damaging rumours about her in 2024 when she got married is now calling her sister in 2026, asking for her contact details so he can apologise.

In her words:
“Dear Ex, I don’t know if I should say ‘may thunder fire you’ or ‘may God forgive you.’ Remember 2024 when I got married? Remember the lies you spread about me on WhatsApp, Snapchat and IG.
Recruiting your friends, even people I’ve never met, just to drag my name. There was nothing you didn’t say.”

The former Big Brother Naija housemate revealed that at the time, she was deeply hurt and confused.
However, instead of responding publicly or escalating the situation, she chose to leave everything to God.
She also contacted people close to him, pleading with them to ask him to stop.

Now, years later, she claims he suddenly wants access to her life again.
“Now in 2026, you’re calling my sister asking for my contact? You want to apologise? Or because I’m no longer married, you think I’m desperate for love? My brother, love is no longer in my dictionary, she added.”
Recall that Queen got married to David Oyekanmi in March 2024 in Akwa Ibom State.
However, late last year, she confirmed that the marriage had ended while responding to a fan, stating clearly that she is single and unavailable.
