“You own private jets but no free…” – Woman tackles Nigerian pastors over luxury lifestyle
A Nigerian woman has set social media ablaze after calling out some Nigerian pastors for allegedly exploiting their members while living in luxury.
In a viral video circulating online, she questioned why many churches that receive huge donations from members are yet to provide basic support systems such as free healthcare for struggling congregants.
In her words, she said:
“Your church has three private jets, but no free hospital for your poor members. A free medical center would preach the word of God more than your private jets.”
The woman insisted that giving money to pastors who own private jets should not be equated with giving money to God.
She also criticised the practice of passing church leadership and wealth down to pastors’ children.
“You are giving your money to a pastor who owns three private jets, not to God. Why transfer the church to your children? There is a church in Dallas that has a free medical center. It is free. But Nigerian pastors… rubbish,” she added.
She further stressed that true service to God should be reflected in the lives of congregants through meaningful support such as free medical care and community assistance, rather than living in luxury.
Her comments quickly sparked intense debate on social media.
