“You need to check that your sales boy” — Trader sets trap for suspected sales boy, discovers something else

A lady has shared the surprising experience of a foodstuff seller who reportedly set a trap after repeatedly discovering that money was disappearing from her shop.
According to the narrator, the trader is well known in the neighbourhood for her jovial personality and does not normally allow customers into the shop. Her sales boy was said to be the only person who regularly stayed inside with her.

As the unexplained losses continued, the woman reportedly complained to three people, who all advised her to investigate her sales boy because of his access to the shop.
Foodstuff seller sets trap over missing money
The narrator said the trader eventually began suspecting the boy and discussed the situation with her on Saturday. Rather than immediately accusing him, she advised the woman to set a trap to establish what was actually happening.
The following day, the trader reportedly deliberately left some money where she usually kept her cash. She then informed her sales boy that she was stepping out to get something.
After waiting for some time, however, she quietly returned to the shop through the back door.
What she allegedly discovered took the situation in an unexpected direction: her younger brother’s wife was inside the shop and reportedly holding her purse.
Discovery shifts suspicion away from sales boy
The discovery was particularly surprising because earlier suspicion had centred on the sales boy, who appeared to have the easiest access to the trader’s money.
The account has also highlighted the danger of accusing someone solely on the basis of suspicion, as the simple decision to investigate before confronting the sales boy reportedly produced an entirely different discovery.
No further details were provided about what happened between the trader and her brother’s wife following the encounter.
