“You must refund my money” – Man fumes after lady allegedly demands ₦100k for sex after expensive date

A Nigerian man has expressed frustration after taking a lady he met at the gym on a dinner date, only to face an unexpected demand after the outing.

According to him, he met the lady at the gym and decided to approach her with the intention of getting to know her better.

He revealed that, in an effort to impress her, he sent her ₦200,000 to buy a gown and other items for their dinner date. He also bought flowers for her before taking her out.

However, things reportedly took an unexpected turn when the lady ordered champagne worth ₦380,000 at the restaurant, alongside a platter and other items.

In his words, he said:

“I took this girl on date, and she ordered champagne worth ₦380k. I lock up. You know say na package you dey do, but you order champagne, ordered platter, full table. I was chill because I like her.”

The man claimed that after the date, the lady told him she was into “package” and asked for ₦100,000 the following morning.

He expressed anger over the situation, arguing that if she intended to engage in sex for money, she should have made that clear instead of allowing him to spend money on the outing and her outfit.

He insisted that she should refund the money he had given her for the dress.

“If you dey package, you no go tell me say you dey package? You must refund my money, the dress money you will refund it. Just tell her to refund my money.”

His account has generated discussion over whether money spent on a date or gifts should come with expectations, highlighting differing views about dating, boundaries and financial gestures.
