“You can’t flush drugs away” – Doctor reacts to Regina Daniels’ drug test result

A medical doctor has spoken out on the controversy surrounding Nollywood actress Regina Daniels’ drug test result.
The doctor dismissed claims that the test was manipulated or influenced in any way.
The actress recently went public with her drug test after months of rumours accusing her of drug abuse.
Medical Influencer Reacts to Online Speculations
Popular medical influencer, Dr Chidi A. Okoroafor, addressed social media claims suggesting that Regina travelled abroad to “flush out drugs” before taking the test.
Reacting, he wrote:
“Once I hear ‘she has gone abroad to detoxify/flush out the drugs before test’, I mark myself and family safe from your generational ignorance.”
His comment quickly gained attention and sparked fresh reactions online.
Why Regina Daniels Took the Drug Test
Regina Daniels explained that she voluntarily took the drug test to clear her name and protect her children’s future.
In an emotional video shared on Wednesday, January 7, she denied being a drug addict and described the rumours as harmful lies.
According to her, she did not want her children growing up believing false stories about their mother.
How the Controversy Started
The allegations began during a difficult period in Regina Daniels’ marriage to billionaire politician Ned Nwoko.
At the time, Ned publicly accused the actress of drug use.
The situation became more intense in November 2023 when Regina’s co-wife, Laila Charani, also accused her of introducing her to drugs.
Leaked Medical Report Fuels Debate
Following the accusations, a leaked medical report claiming Regina tested positive for drugs surfaced online.
The report spread rapidly and divided public opinion.
Many Nigerians questioned how the actress later returned a negative drug test result, leading to more speculation and criticism.
Doctor Clarifies How Drug Tests Work
Dr Okoroafor’s response has, however, added a professional medical perspective on drug testing and helps clear up misinformation about how the tests work.
