“You cannot just be single in Nigeria” – Lady lists reasons why some people haven’t found partners

A Nigerian lady has stirred reactions online after sharing her opinion on why some people are still single despite the country’s large population.

The post was shared on Facebook by Ofuke Evelyn, where it quickly attracted mixed responses from users.

Claims About Reasons for Singleness

In her post, she argued that with Nigeria’s population running into millions, it should be statistically difficult for anyone to remain without a partner.

She then listed several possible reasons she believes could explain why some people are still single.

She wrote: “You cannot be single in Nigeria. Nigeria is a country filled with about 200 million people, and that’s from a census done years ago ooo….
Am sure, by now, we have reached 500 million, especially at the rate at which people are making babies.
So, you can see that it is statistically impossible for you to not have found a partner, by now.
If you are single in the country; it means you have one of the following.

1. Bad character
2. Low sperm count.
3. You are a one minute man/Woman.
4. You are a broke man/Woman.
5. You are chasing someone that is not chasing you….
   Or lastly…
6. You are currently recovering from breakfast, that came with fries.
   Don’t lie… Which category are you?”
