A young lady shared a bizarre encounter she had after leaving the exam hall. According to her, a man approached her, greeting her warmly and expressing interest in talking to her.
She decided to give him attention, hoping to hear him out and not appear rude or dismissive.
Ice cream incident sparks confusion
The encounter took an unexpected turn when she and her friends went to purchase ice cream from a popular local brand.
While she struggled with a network issue trying to make a payment, the man bought only his own ice cream and left without paying for hers or her friends’.
“Even if you didn’t want to pay for my friends, I mean just N200 for ice cream, and you want to ask me out and you want me to reply your text?” she said.
Lady questions social norms
The lady explained that her concern was not about affordability but about basic courtesy and common sense.
“Guys, it’s not like I can’t afford N200 o. I can afford 50 pieces if I want to get it today, but there are some things that are just common sense. Abi, am I overthinking?” she asked, seeking opinions from social media on whether her expectations were reasonable.
