“Women want to eat their cake and have it” — Man says women’s priorities change easily

A man has sparked conversations about shifting priorities and the dynamics of familial loyalty among women.

The story revolves around a Nigerian woman whose views on love, sacrifice, and family have dramatically evolved over two decades.

Women want to eat their cake and have it

In 2002, when asked whether she would allow her husband to buy a car for his mother before her, a single lady firmly replied no.

“If I get married, he must buy me a car first before his mother, because I am his wife now,” she reportedly said. At the time, her stance reflected a desire for recognition and priority within her marital relationship.

Fast forward 23 years, the same woman, now a mother of four was asked if she would allow her sons to purchase cars for their wives before buying one for her.

Her response mirrored her earlier position, albeit with a twist: “No. Now that I’m raising these children, where are the wives? If my children are eventually in a position to buy cars, they must buy for me first,” she stated, highlighting her perception of familial obligation and gratitude.

Ironically, her position overlooked the fact that in 2002, she had insisted her husband prioritise her over his mother, who herself had sacrificed to raise him.

@wonda_design added: “I’ve been saying this. Women are first narcissistic—they care about themselves first. Secondly, they are misogynistic—they hate other women.”

@OladapoGbolaha4: “When you understand that every woman is only loyal to her feelings and her sacrifice first before anything else, then you are halfway through knowing the gender.”
