Woman gets emotional over kettle used for 24 years

A Nigerian woman, Omotayo Ajoke Adetunji, has shared an emotional story about a household kettle that served her family for more than two decades.
According to her, the kettle was bought by her husband in 2002, a few months before their wedding.

Since then, it had been used daily in their home until recently when the spout finally detached.
She said the item had become deeply sentimental because of the many roles it played in the family over the years.
“My hubby bought this kettle a few months to our wedding in the year 2002. Since then it had been serving us until last month when the pout got detached,” she wrote.

She also revealed it played a role during significant moments in her life, including warming water for body massages after childbirth.
Reflecting on its long service, she admitted she feels conflicted about throwing it away.
“For 24 good years it had served my family. I have mixed feelings letting it go,” she said
