Woman cries out over boyfriend’s five-year detention, seeks government intervention
A young woman has gone public with her emotional plea over the prolonged detention of her boyfriend, who she says has been imprisoned for five years without clarity on his case.
In a video shared online, the lady revealed that she had just returned from visiting him at the correctional facility, where he reportedly told her that there had been no update regarding his case.
She expressed frustration, claiming that his file had not yet been opened despite the lengthy period of detention.
According to her, before his incarceration, they took an oath together out of love, which she believes prevents her from moving on or entering another relationship. She said the situation has left her emotionally distressed and uncertain about her future.
The woman appealed to the government to intervene and ensure that her boyfriend’s case is addressed.
Her words …
“I can’t contain this anymore. I had to pick courage to come out publicly. The man I’m dating has been imprisoned for 5 years. I’m actually coming back from there. He was telling me that he is not fine. That they haven’t said anything concerning his case. And the worst part is that I don’t know whether I’m going front or back. Before he went to prison, I took oath with him because of the love I have for him. I cannot cheat, and I cannot get married to another man because of the oath we took. The worse case now is that his file has not even been opened. For good five years I’ve been suffering and going to prison to see this guy. The government should do something concerning my boyfriend. They need to help me because I’m frustrated.”
