Woman breaks down online over alleged abuse, financial dependence in marriage

A Nigerian woman shares a tearful account of her struggles in marriage, alleging neglect, domestic abuse, and financial dependence.
In a viral video, the woman lamented what she described as emotional suffering and lack of communication from her husband, accusing him of frequently staying out late without informing her of his whereabouts.
She also expressed frustration over caring for their sick child without adequate support.
According to her, the situation has left her emotionally exhausted and financially trapped, as she claims she currently has no personal income or alternative place to stay with her children.
The woman advised other women to maintain financial independence before marriage, stressing that dependence can make it difficult to leave unhealthy situations.
She further alleged that she has experienced domestic violence in the relationship and said she often prays for financial stability so she can start a business and rebuild her life independently.
Her words …
“You might be wondering why I’m crying this early morning. It’s because I’m tired of this kind of life. I’m tired of the kind of life I’m living. Is this marriage or punishment, cause I don’t understand. I’m not asking for much, all I’m asking is for you to lemme know if you’re coming home or not or where you are. It’s his life and he can do what he wants and he wants nobody questioning him.
Yesterday he left this house in the morning and his daughter was sick. This girl hadn’t eaten anything since morning and you tell him he’ll say it’s fine, she’ll be good. You came home around 12 in the midnight.
On Saturday he came home around 5 in the morning. This was someone who left the house around 9 on Friday. Without telling me anything like babe, I won’t be coming home tonight or I’ll be coming back late.
As a lady, before you enter any marriage please make sure you have your own money. Now I’m just usel£ss because I don’t have a dime.
If I want to leave with my children I don’t have anywhere to go to. I know leaving is the best thing. Apart from the domestic v!olence and always us!ng me as his pun©h!ng bag, I can’t take this children away and allow them suffer.
Most times I’ll just be praying to God for a miracle money so I can set up and apart and begin a business because I’m tired…”
