Woman allegedly absconds with neighbour’s baby in Jos

A distressing incident occurred in the Angwan Rukuba area of Jos, Plateau State, as a woman allegedly absconded with her neighbour’s baby on Friday afternoon, July 21, 2023.

The suspect, identified simply as Chioma, reportedly disappeared with the child, leaving the mother in a state of shock and despair.

According to the distraught mother, Chioma had been living as their neighbour for the past two months before the unfortunate incident took place.

The heartbroken mother recounted that Chioma took the baby from her on Friday afternoon, under circumstances that raised no immediate suspicion.

However, as the hours passed, concern grew as neither Chioma nor the baby were seen or heard from since then.

The incident has sent shockwaves through the community, leaving residents deeply worried about the well-being of the missing child and desperate for any information that could help in locating them.
