Wike’s aide mocks ADC as Atiku’s son dumps PDP, joins APC, backs Tinubu

Lere Olayinka, a senior aide to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has mocked the opposition coalition under the ADC following a fresh political defection.

Olayinka reacted after Abba Abubakar, son of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, dumped the Peoples Democratic Party PDP and joined the ruling All Progressives Congress APC.

Abba Abubakar backs Tinubu

Reports said Abba Abubakar not only joined the APC but also openly declared support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of the 2027 elections.

The move has stirred political reactions, given Atiku Abubakar’s continued association with the opposition coalition under the ADC platform.

Olayinka questions opposition unity

Reacting online, Olayinka questioned why a son of a leading opposition figure would abandon his father’s party for the ruling party.

He suggested the development exposed confusion and lack of unity within the opposition camp ahead of the next general election.

Social media mockery follows defection

Olayinka also highlighted the different political paths taken by Atiku Abubakar and his sons to further mock the opposition coalition.

He wrote: “Atiku Abubakar is in ADC. His son, Adamu is the Commissioner for Works & Energy Development in the PDP govt of Adamawa State.

Another of Atiku’s Son, Abba has decamped to APC.

FATHER – ADC

SON – PDP

SON – APC

Una wey dey shout Kolision up and down will kuku get sense las las.

The comment has since generated mixed reactions online, with supporters and critics debating its political implications.
