A young Nigerian lady has sparked mixed reactions online after sharing her views on marriage, saying the expectations placed on women are the reason she believes she may never get married.
In a viral video shared on X (formerly Twitter) by @honest30bgfan, the lady questioned why women are expected to wake up as early as 4 a.m. to cook for their husbands, describing the routine as unrealistic.
She complained that many men, in her opinion, place too much emphasis on food in marriage, making cooking feel like a constant and overwhelming demand.
According to her, the pressure to always prepare meals is one of the major reasons marriages feels stressful and unappealing.
She also mentioned other personal deal-breakers, revealing that she cannot share a bed with a man who snores, adding that she strongly dislikes it.
Her remarks have triggered widespread debate online, while many agreed with her opinion, others insisted that cooking is part of a woman’s responsibility in marriage.
