“Who allow Lot’s wife enter my house?” – Lady recounts how she took the blame after brother’s girlfriend oversalted family meal

A lady has shared a humorous family experience, recounting how she accepted the blame after her brother’s girlfriend allegedly prepared an overly salty meal during her first visit to their home.

According to the narrator, she had planned to cook rice and stew before the woman offered to handle the meal herself.

Impressed by the gesture, she stayed with her in the kitchen throughout the cooking process, believing her brother had made a good choice.

However, after tasting the food while serving it, she realised the stew contained too much salt. Rather than reveal who had prepared the meal, she decided to serve it to the family without saying anything.

Family’s reaction leaves lady embarrassed

Recalling the incident, the lady said, “As my brother took one spoon, he was already waiting to finish my life with insults. My father, wey no dey hide him mouth, said, ‘Who allow Lot’s wife enter my house?’” She explained that the comment came immediately after the family tasted the meal.

The narrator added, “I said, ‘Daddy, sorry, na me cook the food.’ It was too embarrassing to say my brother’s babe cooked that kind of food. I sha chop insults that day.” She said she chose to protect her brother’s girlfriend from embarrassment.

Promise remains unfulfilled

According to the lady, her brother’s girlfriend later apologised and thanked her for taking responsibility for the cooking mistake. She also promised to reward her for covering up the incident.
